Stop living in the past.

The 80’s and 90’s were nice, but people are getting carried away.  Living in the past is what old people do.  If you’re between the ages of 21-35, you shouldn’t be talking about “the good ol’ days.”

It’s cool to be nostalgic and whatever, but let’s get real.  We didn’t have internet, we didn’t have Wikipedia or Youtube or any of that.  Entertainment and information wasn’t as plentiful and easily accessible.  We didn’t have HDTV’s, we had small ass fuzzy screens.  We didn’t have cell phones.  Remember having to record music off the radio by using a blank cassette tape?  Remember walking around with your portable CD player and a bunch of CDs?  Now all you have to do is download a song and put it on your iPod.  Your whole music collection is in your pocket.  I don’t have to go to Blockbuster Video, I can rent movies using OnDemand on my TV.

Some of the TV shows were nice, a lot of the cartoons were trash, a LOT of the movies were trash…

I understand clinging onto memories, especially if you lost a loved one.  Otherwise, you really can’t be serious when you tell me previous eras were better.  I couldn’t do half the stuff I can do now 10 years ago.
